Mountain View High School

This past spring, we were blessed to have members of our Decision Point team from Texas and California come out to support our students and schools in Tucson during Tucson Mission Week. One of the schools we visited that week was Mountain View High School.
Our team joined students in setting up a “Give God’s Word” table and handing out Bibles to students walking to McDonald’s after school. We met some incredible students, many of whom we were able to share the gospel with. Others already believed in Jesus and shared their testimonies with us.
One student we encountered was named Chris. He came up to the table, and when he was offered a Bible, he told us it was “perfect timing because my other Bible has a bullet in it right now.”
Chris went on to share that he had recently made a custom Bluetooth speaker for someone who wanted to buy it from him. When he met the man to sell it, the man pulled a gun on him and stole the speaker. As the man was running away, he fired a shot at Chris. Chris felt an impact and fell to the ground, certain that he had been hit. Instead, he discovered that he was not injured because the bullet had struck the Bible tucked into his beltline.
Chris shared that he was truly shocked by the way God had protected him from harm, but he had been without a Bible since then. He was very happy to have the opportunity to receive a new Bible.
