Isaiah's Story

Isaiah is a relatively new believer in the San Francisco Bay Area who is already shining bright for Jesus. After becoming a new believer, he attended a witnessing training at a local church where he met Decision Point Bay Area Director, Barnaby Lee.
Barnaby started mentoring Isaiah and training him for personal evangelism so he could reach his peers. Since the Christian club at Isaiah’s school had been inactive the past few years during COVID, Isaiah was hoping to get the club started this past fall semester.
Barnaby and Isaiah decided the first place to start would be at See You at the Pole (SYATP). Surely this would be a great time to meet other Christian students who would also gather to pray for their school, they thought.
When the day came, no other students showed up to pray besides Isaiah. Instead of giving up, Isaiah and Barnaby decided to carry on with praying for the campus. When they started to pray, Barnaby noticed one of Isaiah’s friends, Jenny, walking up to them.
“Are you a Christian?” Barnaby asked.
“No,” Jenny replied. Then, in a line that sounds too good to be true, she added, “But I want to be.”
Without missing a beat, Isaiah stepped in and began sharing the gospel with Jenny. Within a few minutes, Jenny gave her life to Christ! Isaiah then opened his backpack, took out a new Bible, gave it to her, and then invited her to his youth group.
