Giving God’s Word at Desert View High School
This last year Enrique was a senior at Desert View High School. There had not been an active Bible club on his campus since the COVID shut downs. This year he decided that he was going to restart his club so that he could start teaching the Bible to his fellow students at his school and reach them with the gospel.
One of the ways that Enrique did that last year was by handing out Bibles, Gospel of John Life Books, and candy canes with the gospel and an invitation to his club attached. One Thursday, during their lunch period, Enrique and 5 of the other students in the Bible club set up a table with the Bibles and candy cane invitations and started walking around the campus handing them all out to whoever they could find.
Many of the other students had never done anything like this before and were nervous about how their friends would respond to them handing these things out but the more they stepped out in faith to hand out God’s Word, the bolder they became. One of the students even came up to the table to get more Bibles after handing out a whole stack and he said “I was really nervous about this at first, but this actually feels really natural, like I am supposed to be doing this” and another student shared that he was surprised at how many students were interested in taking a Bible.
