Our team at Decision Point wants you to understand what information we collect, and how we use and share it pertaining to our app The Gospel Project -Decision Point. That’s why we encourage you to read our Privacy Policy.

In the Privacy Policy, we explain how we collect, use, and share, retain and transfer information. We also let you know your rights. It also describes how long we keep your information and how we keep it safe when we transfer it.

What information do we collect?

We collect and use this personal data that you provide to us voluntarily:

Personal Contact information: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, Address, Profile photo (should you choose to provide one)

Connections Contact Information: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number provided for any Parent, Advisor, Pastor, and Church

We also collect data from your religious beliefs through our Reach Your School application. These and other types of information could have special protections under the laws of your jurisdiction.

The device and software you’re using.

This information is collected from fields you filled out.

We also collect information about your activity, such as the types of resources, events, and posts you view or interact with, and how you interact with it. This data includes the time, frequency, and duration of your activities on our app.

How do we use your information?

We personalize your experience, like suggesting actions to take within the app and curating your event feed on the home page.

We improve our product by applying information about what you use it to do, and what else is happening on your device when our app crashes.

We communicate with you regarding features for which you expressed interest.

We subscribe you to our marketing and newsletter emails. You can use unsubscribe in the email to unsubscribe from all marketing emails. We currently do not use SMS communication or automated calling systems. Email communications from us will always have an address ending in @decisionpoint.org.

We aggregate your data into market analysis and request analysis that we periodically perform.

The information we use for these purposes is automatically processed by our systems. We also manually review and access your information when you apply for Reach Your School to determine next steps, and when you sign up for the Lead an Outreach Week Challenge.

Each use above is an example of data processing that uses your Data.

How do we share information with third parties?

Our app is created through a third party platform, Appery.io. You can access their privacy policy here.

Contact information will be shared with Mailchimp for Marketing and Newsletter purposes.

Contact information and address are shared with GiveSwagger upon acceptance for your Reach Your School application. GiveSwagger will ship you our Student Leader box.

How can you exercise your Personal Data Privacy Rights?

You are the one who controls your personal data. As such you may send us a request for obtaining a copy, updating, or erasure of your personal data. In addition you may request confirmation regarding whether your Data is included in our data processing.

You have rights to view and download the information we have about you. You can also manage your information by visiting the settings of the app.

You also can delete your account by submitting a request here.

How do we retain and protect your Personal Data?

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide a feature or service, but you can request that we delete your information.

Your Data is removed as long as there is no legal obligation for us to retain the Data.

Your personal data is stored and processed per this privacy policy. When our legitimate interest period expires per our data retention policy or when you provide an erasure request, then your Data contact information is deleted. The remainder of the Data is adjusted, if and as we deem necessary, to reasonably block association of the Data remainder with your Data contact information that may be in a public domain such as LinkedIn.com.

Our internal operations are within the United States of America and the operations safeguard the handling your Data. The safeguards are appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of your Data.


How often do we update our Privacy Policy?

From time to time, we may update this Privacy Policy to take into account changes in law, technology or our operations. We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy on our website from time to time. When appropriate, we will notify you about material changes via an email message to the email address you most recently provided to us. We encourage you to periodically check back and review this policy so that you always will know what information we collect and how we use it.

When material privacy policy updates are not explicitly acknowledged (Agree or Disagree) then the most recent consent record on file will have prevalence.
