Heather Barnes
Coaching Students with Decision Point
Heather was the first high schooler in Chicago coached by Decision Point through our Distance Coaching program. As she saw God work at Palatine High, she began praying that God would bring Decision Point to Illinois for the long-term. In faith, she started Decision Point in the city at Moody Bible Institute in 2013, then took a year off from college to work full-time in this mission in 2014. Things came full circle, and Heather oversaw the very ministry that she prayed the Lord would bring to Illinois!
After serving as the Illinois State Director for a number of years, she stepped up as Decision Point's Operations Manager overseeing the nationwide Campus Ministry staff and operations. She is instrumental in pushing the mission forward strategically and enthusiastically. Now she enjoys serving as Special Projects Director, focused on recruiting and training staff, while furthering the mission by leading strategic projects across the organization.
Heather is married to her husband Drew, and together they have two kids Sadie and Lawson.
