Story of Life Change

God Revives the Club at Tanque Verde High School

Students at Tanque Verde HS have been so encouraged by how God is growing their club and bringing seeking students each week. Last year during the Covid-19 shutdowns, the Tanque Verde Bible Club was not able to have an official club meeting on campus, but since the beginning of this year they have seen their club grow from almost nothing to 17 students showing up every week to hear about Jesus!

In October, the Bible Club hosted an outreach week with the theme “Where Is Your Hope?” Club president, Erin*, shared that an unbelieving friend of hers from a Catholic background showed up and afterward told Erin, “I’m going to come back every week!” Erin also had another friend reach out to her and shared about her struggles with mental health and asked Erin if she could invite her to the next club meeting. God is using the Christian club at Tanque Verde to reach students!

Tucson Ministry Update

44 Student Leaders Reaching 14 Schools
  • Cienega High School has 40 students attending its weekly Christian club meetings. They also host a daily prayer circle in the center of campus before school starts!
  • Kalie from Buena High School launched a "Meant for More" Club on campus this year. 30 students participated in "See You at the Pole" in September and she is meeting weekly with her club and youth pastor to plan monthly prayer and worship gatherings.
  • NSP's Arizona Chapter Directors hosted their first "Southern AZ Youth Ministry Conference" this fall. 11 churches were in attendance with youth groups being represented by students from 52 schools across Tucson.

"We as the Arizona staff are seeing ministry really beginning to take off, specifically with our church partners as they come alongside the 52 Christian students in AZ who have said “Yes!” to reaching their schools this year!" said Eric and Breanna Loveland. "With the work of the Holy Spirit grabbing ahold of Christian students and pastors, we believe that it is truly possible to see a student-led, church-supported awakening to Christ’s love at every public school in the whole state! Christian students in Tucson often feel like they are the only believer at their school. Pray with us that more Christian students would boldly step out, so that together they can accomplish this great task of bringing the gospel to their whole school!"

We are currently coaching students from the schools marked in yellow, and praying about coaching students from the ones in blue.

2021 Goals & Prayer Requests

Please join us in praying over these goals for our Tucson team this upcoming year.
  • Pray for God to lead us to bold Christian students, pastors, teachers, and community members specifically in Tucson Unified School District (a district we’ve had a hard time reaching).
  • Pray for 10 new church partnerships this year where youth pastors are excited to make campus ministry a core part of their youth ministry.
