Aaron: From Inspired to Mobilized

When Aaron attended SLC as an incoming 8th grader in June 2025 something changed.

Immediately after Student Leader Conference (SLC), Aaron was asked if he felt ready to share the gospel. His response was simple, but revealing:

“I am so ready to share the gospel because of SLC. I feel like going there made me want to share the gospel even more than I used to.”

When school started at Rolling Hills Middle School, Aaron began looking for ways to put his faith into action. He wanted to share the gospel and get God’s Word into the hands of his classmates, but quickly ran into challenges. After hearing that he might not be allowed to distribute Bibles on campus, Aaron reached out to Decision Point for guidance and was excited to learn that students are legally protected to share their faith and distribute Bibles, even at a public middle school.

At the same time, Aaron took another step. He found a faculty advisor and launched a Christian club at his school.

As he prepared for the club’s first meetings, Aaron used materials from Decision Point’s Gospel App as a reference to build his own gospel presentation. He assembled slides and prepared to share the message of Christ with his fellow students during one of the club’s first meetings.

As his boldness grew, Aaron began offering Bibles to students on campus. The response was immediate. The first batch of 44 Bibles disappeared within twenty minutes!

Shocked and pleasantly surprised, Aaron requested three additional boxes of Bibles. But even as he messaged Decision Point staff to put in the request, he soon changed his mind, with the reality of his classmates’ hunger for the gospel settling in, he increased his request and asked for four additional boxes of Bibles. And within days, 76 students received copies of God’s Word thanks to Aaron’s faithfulness.

But what stands out most isn’t the number of Bibles distributed. It’s what Aaron said happened behind those numbers:

“God gave me the courage to go up to half of the school and ask if they wanted bibles.”

Aaron’s story is a reminder that God can use students right now. What began as a desire to share the gospel coming out of Student Leader Conference quickly became action on his campus.

One year later, Aaron returned to Student Leader Conference—not simply with a desire to become bolder, but with a year of seeing God answer that desire. Now an incoming freshman at Westmont High School, Aaron is looking forward to a new mission field and asking God for even greater boldness.

On his Student Leader Conference response card, Aaron committed to spending time with God seven days a week, have 50 gospel conversations, give out 300 copies or portions of God’s Word, and lead an outreach during the coming school year. When asked how many witnessing outings he wanted to participate in, Aaron didn’t even put down a number. He simply wrote: “as many as I can.”

Then, on the back of the card, Aaron wrote a prayer for his first year of high school:

“Dear Lord, would you help me be unashamed of the gospel, because you are worth all the pain and suffering. Would you use me to take back Westmont HS for you? When tough times come, help me to look to you. Amen.”

What started as a desire to share the gospel quickly grew. God answered his desire by giving him the courage to start a club, share the gospel with his classmates, and approach students across his campus. And as a result, hundreds of students have now heard the good news of Jesus!

Today, Aaron is pursuing students at Westmont High School for Christ— a larger campus and a bigger opportunity.

God is still writing Aaron’s story. Throughout the year he will see God answer his prayers as he faithfully answers his call to go and make disciples. His faithfulness to the call to go and make disciples.

This is the call on every Christian’s life. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of  the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” May Aaron’s desire to see God take back Westmont HS convict you to do the same wherever God has placed you.
