Coaching Students with National School Project

My name is Jake Hennessy and I have been given the amazing opportunity to serve as Campus Ministry Staff in Sacramento. It is my mission to be a good steward of the Gospel so that God may shine light in the darkness by transforming and redeeming students in Sacramento. God saved me in high school and it is my prayer that God will save other high school students and their families through the ministry He has entrusted to me. 
Along with being a follower of Jesus, I have the blessed privilege of being a husband to my beautiful wife, Sienna. In the future, I hope to be a father one day. 

Why I Feel Called to This Role

Every Christian is called by Jesus to minister and make disciples. To me, this looks like serving in my role at Decision Point. I am specifically called to this ministry because God has graciously gifted me in evangelism and I have a desire for students to know Jesus. Decision Point, therefore, is a perfect fit. I truly believe that God has been preparing me for this ministry since the time I was born again and I know He will carry me through it. 

Needless to say, I am very excited to see the ways God will continue to move in this ministry. It is my true prayer that my ministry with Decision Point will be marked by the same thing John the Baptist said, "He must increase, but I must decrease."
